James Holden: Me and Silver Apples Magazine

Silver Apples CoverExcitingly, one of my short stories has been included in an on-line magazine called Silver Apples. It’s a new publication featuring 29 short stories, poetry, photography and artwork around the theme of modern mythologies.

The reason I’m highlighting it is because a story of mine, Sweet Dreams, has been included. I was thrilled when I first heard, and I’m really pleased with the end result – it’s beautifully designed. I especially like the short introduction they have penned for each piece stating why they have chosen to include a particular submission. When my stuff has been selected before it hasn’t been clear why, and it’s also nice for people considering submitting something to know why particular pieces were selected.

I’m also highlighting it because there are some cracking pieces in there. I haven’t quite finished reading it yet, but despite being based around a particular theme, it covers a lot of ground.

It’s a bargain at less than €1 and if you fancy buying a copy – and I would strongly recommend doing so – you can find it here.
